Overview

This upcoming project takes the humble Ender 3 and pairs it with a custom hot end inspired by the Roetz 4.0 design. The goal is to explore how a high-performance melt zone can transform a budget printer’s capabilities.

Planned Features

  • Custom hot end design inspired by the Roetz 4.0
  • Optimized melt zone for higher flow rates
  • Modified Ender 3 frame to accommodate the new toolhead
  • Performance comparison: stock vs. upgraded

Why This Project

The Ender 3 is one of the most common printers in the hobby. Showing what’s possible with a better hot end on familiar hardware makes the knowledge accessible to a wide audience.
